With the college football season over, there is only one thing to do – start looking ahead to next season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide dominated this year of college football, and it appears plenty of college football fans expect more of the same to come. Despite Alabama sending a huge portion of their championship team to the NFL, 42 percent of college football fans expect the Tide to repeat next year, according to the latest SB Nation Reacts survey.

Alabama is joined by a very familiar group of teams. While “other” received the next highest percentage of the vote, Clemson and Oklahoma earned the next highest with 11 percent each. They were followed by Ohio State with seven percent.

Fans might expect to see much of the same in football, but the college basketball season is still up for grabs. That leaves the door very much open for some of the season’s surpise teams.

According to more than a third of college basketball fans around the country, Texas is the best surprise team so far this year. They are trailed by nearly a quarter of fans who picked Minnesota.
