Oregon State made a series off announcements regarding their response to the spread of COVID-19. They include remote classes, university travel cancellations, and the banning of events with more than 50 attendees. The last one will obviously effect athletic events going forward through April 30th. The NCAA already announced earlier in the day that the Men’s and Women’s basketball tournaments would move forward without fans in attendance. The Pac-12 has just announced that there will be no fans for the remainder of the PAC-12 Tournament. These announcements followed similar steps by other countries in response to the pandemic.
Until at least April 30, no non-essential OSU-sponsored events of more than 50 attendees will be permitted. All events with fewer than 50 attendees will be held with maximum social distancing.

The status of these measures will be evaluated every two weeks.
