The vote was a tightly contested one and with good reason. It’s been noted that Tinkle was one of five Beavers coaches ever to bring the team to the NCAA Tournament and that things haven’t been all that bad under the sixth-year head coach. However, the frustration of the team’s fan base has seemingly seemed to grow with the team’s regular inconsistencies and a lack of direction of the program overall.

With three games left in the regular season, beginning this Thursday with a trip to Oregon, the decision may soon be on the horizon for Oregon State about Tinkle’s future. For now, the Beavers focus needs to be on snagging their fourth-straight win over their rival and finding a way to avoid slipping into the bottom of the Pac-12 standings.
