The transfer portal hath given once again, or at least it appears that way. Several reports broke this morning that Florida State transfer Tre’Shaun Harrison is now listed in the Oregon State student directory. Obviously we have been here before with Devon Williams so we will wait for all the i’s to be dotted and t’s to be crossed before getting too excited, but this is a very good sign.
The 6’2” 190 pound receiver out of Seattle was rated 4 stars out of high school with a list of very strong offers. Harrison originally looked headed to Eugene out of high school, but ended up following Willie Taggart to Florida State.
In 17 career games as a Seminole Harrison caught 37 passes for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns. He will have 3 years to play 2 in Corvallis and while conventional wisdom says he will have to sit out 2020 there is a chance he could get a waiver from the NCAA due to Willie Taggart’s dismissal from Florida State. If immediately eligible Harrison would push for playing time right off the bat as the Beavs look to fill the shoes of Isaiah Hodgins.
Stay with Building The Dam as the 2020 recruiting class continues to fill up.
