The news is devastating to the football team, coaching staff and obviously Jeromy Reichner himself. Reichner injured his foot last year during fall camp and after surgery was only able to play in five games. Jeromy was scheduled to be a redshirt senior this upcoming season and was pushing for a starting spot on the defensive line.
It’s unclear if Jeromy Reichner would want a sixth year of eligibility due to injury hardships (similar to the one Jake Luton just received). Reichner would be a prime candidate to receive a 6th year of eligibility, but an ACL injury is very difficult to rehab from and we here at Building the Dam wish Jeromy the best in his recovery process.
