The countdown of Oregon State Football’s most valuable player continues with number 4. Just 6 more days until the home opener! Real college football is going to be played tonight!

#4 Jalen Moore - Defensive Back

Despite the news that Jalen Moore is listed as questionable for the team’s opener against Oklahoma State, the heart and soul of the Beavers defense is expected to be the focal point of a secondary unit that must improve.

In 2018, Moore tallied 101 total tackles (69 solo), 4 passes defended and forced a fumble, but there’s belief that the senior is ready for an even more impressive campaign, pending his health remains a non-issue. With strong size at around 6 feet tall and hovering over 210 pounds, Moore is more of a fill-and-crash player, who reads the game well in run scenarios.

With the Oklahoma State game less than a week away, it’ll be interesting to see how Moore and his fellow group of secondary mates compete against the high-octane, air-raid approach of the Cowboys.

Projected Statistics:

105 total tackles, 3 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception
