The redshirt junior is one of the most intimidating defensive players for Oregon State. At 6-foot-4, 235-pounds Hamilcar possesses a unique blend of speed and strength at the linebacker position. A year ago as an underclassman, he led the team in tackles for loss with 11.5.

The Beavers most talented position group on defense is the linebackers and Hamilcar Rashed might be the most talented outsider linebacker on the team. Oregon State desperately needs to pressure opposing quarterbacks in 2019 and edge-rushers like Hamilcar will be crucial. If the defensive line can take a step forward and show they can stop the run better than last season it’ll help put teams in obvious passing situations.
