#14: Andrzej Hughes-Murray - Outside Linebacker

Andrzej Hughes-Murray comes into his final year at Oregon State looking to anchor a defense that has almost nowhere to go but up. The Beavers’ leading sacker from a year ago will have a few new running mates around him that will hopefully lead to him making an even bigger impact than the 33 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and three sacks he racked up from a year ago.

Earlier this offseason, the senior backer was added to the Danny Wuerffel Watch List. The Wuerffel Trophy goes to those “who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement” according to the Wuerffel Trophy homepage. Here’s to hoping the former Washington state wrestling champion has a huge year both on and off the field.
