As our countdown continues, we are just 43 days away from the Beavers season opener against Oklahoma State at Reser. Our list continues with the #41 most valuable player.

#41 Isaac Garcia - Linebacker

What a long winding road it has been for the linebacker from Washington. As he heads into his sophomore campaign he will be one of the guys that’s been a Beav for the longest. A highly regarded recruit who ended up coming to Oregon State after originally committing to USC he ended up not enrolling following high school, utilizing a grayshirt year instead. His first season ended before it even begin when it was announced he was no longer on the roster shortly before the beginning of fall camp. It was later announced that Garcia planned to transfer to the junior college ranks in December. Finally after meeting with new coach Jonathan Smith, Garcia decided to stay at OSU.

In what amounted to his redshirt freshman season this past fall Garcia played in 10 games while compiling no stats according to the OSU football website. While obviously not the production many had hoped when Garcia committed to OSU, it had been basically 2 years since he had played any meaningful football so we will give the benefit of the doubt.

Projected Statistics:

20 Tackles, 2 TFLs, 3 Sacks, 1 Fumble recovery
