Oregon State has been white hot on the recruiting trail lately and it appears Tommy Spencer wanted to get in on that action. The 6’5” 240 pound tight end out of California joins the parade to Corvallis with his commitment tonight. Spencer has been lauded for his athleticism and blocking skills at the tight end position. His junior year saw him on the receiving end of 14 completions for 300 yards and 2 trips to the end zone.
Spencer is the first tight end commit of the 2020 campaign joining fellow offensive stars Ben Gulbranson (Quarterback) , Cooper Darling (Offensive Line) and Zeriah Beason (Wide Receiver) as well as defensive standouts Tavis Shippen(Defensive Line), Shane Kady, John Miller and Junior Walling (Linebackers). Spencer had offers from San Diego State and Fresno State as well as evolving interest from several other power five programs.
