On Sunday night, we learned who the hosts of the sixteen regionals would be in the 2019 NCAA Baseball tournament. On the morning of Memorial Day, we find out who exactly will be playing in those regional games.
WHAT: 2019 NCAA baseball selection show
WHEN: 9 AM PT, Noon ET
WHERE: ESPNU or WatchESPN
Who’s coming to visit?
In their latest projections from Sunday, the D1Baseball.com folks have the Corvallis regional as (from #1-#4) OSU, Auburn, Duke, and Bryant.
Baseball America projects the Corvallis regional to be OSU, UC Santa Barbara, Tennessee, and Harvard.
Between those two setups, it could actually be more beneficial for Oregon State to get the first group. UC Santa Barbara were some tough cookies this year winning the Big West conference outright. Harvard were no slouches either taking the Ivy League’s automatic bid and Tennessee are decent team in one of college baseball’s toughest leagues.
Auburn and Duke have certainly played their fair share of talented teams, but like the Beavs, they ran into some late-season struggles and as with any postseason, it’s about getting hot at the right time.
