2019 NCAA Tournament Selection Show Thread: Coverage, How-To-Watch & What To Know

It’s the biggest day of the college basketball season.

NCAA Basketball: ACC Conference Tournament-Florida State vs Duke Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Well, the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, as Selection Sunday finally sits at our doorstep. Some conferences are still deciding who will earn their automatic bid up until the last minute, while some have had their fates locked in for days. Here at Building The Dam, we’re aware that Oregon State is now likely headed for the CBI but that won’t stop us from enjoying the March Madness!

Check out below to see how-to-watch the 2019 NCAA Tournament Selection Show and what to know before you hear the bracket revealed later tonight.

What To Know

  • The Mid-Major vs. Mediocre Power Team Conundrum: Will the selection committee favor the mid-majors like Belmont (26-5), Lipscomb (25-7) and UNC-Greensboro (28-6) when it comes down to deciding time or will power conference programs like Texas (16-16) and Indiana (17-15) hear their names called instead?
  • The Season Isn’t Over: Did you team (like Oregon State) not make the big dance? Don’t worry about it! There’s still chances for programs in the NIT and other post-season tournaments, which will all be released following the official release of the NCAA Tournament bracket.
  • Join BTD’s NCAA Tournament Challenge: Somewhere in the midst of you filling out 100+ brackets, you really need to be sure to join Building The Dam’s “Tourney Pick’em” group! Test your skills of constructing the best overall bracket against the other members of Beaver Nation and who knows, maybe we’ll even write some nice things about you if you win.
