The Beavers have had a fantastic start to the season and sit at 13-1-1 on the year. Oregon State will look to get off to a strong start in Pac-12 play against UCLA and while trying to forget their sloppy Civil War game on Tuesday when they squeaked out an ugly 7-6 victory. The Bruins will be a big test are extremely talented and are ranked ahead of Oregon State (#2 vs. #3) according to D1Baseball.com.
Much like Oregon State, UCLA relies on a strong pitching staff and solid defense to win ball games. Unfortunately for the Beavers they will likely be without their ace, Kevin Abel, as he recovers from a minor back injury. Grant Gambrell is scheduled to start for the Beavs.
