Oregon State Baseball is off to another hot start this season, both literally and figuratively. They have yet to lose a game as of this post going live and they open up with eight games at the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic and the Big Ten-Pac-12 challenge, both in warm Surprise, AZ.
The pros of these: OSU gets some good experience against some quality non-conference opponents and there’s definitely a higher possibility of actually playing those games in warmer climates like Arizona this time of year.
The downside, for whatever reason, there’s typically no video feeds for fans to watch. Plus, in OSU’s case, it isn’t exactly close to the PNW where the vast majority of Beaver fans reside. So all in all, the only real way to catch the game is to spend the money to travel there or listen to the games on the radio (or follow @BuildingTheDam on Twitter).
Does it even out in your head? Or would you prefer the schedule be a bit different in the coming years?
