- After the first weekend of play Oregon State’s Bryce Fehmel has won the Pac-12 pitcher of the week award. Fehmel pitched a gem in the 2nd game of the season against Gonzaga. He went 8 innings and allowed just one hit (one run) in a 9-3 Beaver victory. The Beavers wrapped up the first week of play with a tidy 4-0 record and return to the baseball diamond on Thursday in Surprise, AZ against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

- On Monday morning D1 Baseball released their first top-25 rankings of the season. Oregon State jumped Louisville to move into 7th-place. UCLA is 4th and Stanford 12th.

- The biggest news of the day belongs to the women’s basketball team who downed the No. 2 ranked Oregon Ducks in Gill last night. The Beavers lost a hard-fought game to Oregon on Friday, but refused to lose at home extending their home Civil War streak to nine in a row! When the latest rankings were released Oregon State dropped to No. 12, but look for that to change after their big win.
