The Beavers and Ducks met in Eugene for the first of this season’s Civil War match ups, and despite a valiant effort from Oregon State, they fell to their in state rivals 77-68. The Beavers fall to 20-5 overall, and 10-3 in the conference. Oregon remains undefeated in the conference. The teams meet for the rematch on Monday in Corvallis.
Towards the end of a closely fought first quarter, Oregon went on an 8-0 run to establish a small lead. The Beavers battled back in the second, and briefly took the lead, before a three from Sabrina Ionescu gave Oregon a lead they wouldn’t relinquish for the rest of the game.
The Ducks led by four at the half, and some more impressive shooting from Ionescu got that lead up to 10 by the time the third quarter ended. Ionescu was clearly the best player on the court tonight, with 29 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds.
Destiny Slocum and Jo Grymek did there best to get OSU back in the game, finding some effective scoring in the paint, but could never get the Ducks margin down to one score. The Ducks pulled away in the final minutes, wrapping up a 9 point home win.

Destiny Slocum led the Beavers in scoring tonight, with 19 points. She also had 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Katie McWilliams was the Beavers next best scorer, with 14. McWilliams also had 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
Jo Grymek and Aleah Goodman were the final Beavers to break into double digits, with 12 points each. Grymek also had 5 rebounds, while Goodman finished with 2 rebounds and an assist.
Mikayla Pivec led the team in rebounds, with 7, but only managed 6 points in the game. That was enough to get her her 1,000th career point. Pivec’s definitely earned some props during her time at Oregon State, and it’s awesome to see her reach this milestone.
Here's a look at @pivec10's 1,000 career point!
