Led by a career night from guard Ethan Thompson, Oregon State took down North Dakota at Gill Coliseum on Sunday, 83-66.

The Beavers are now 10-2 on the season, while the Fighting Hawks fall to 6-8 overall.

Thompson not only finished with a game-high 25 points in Sunday’s clash, but also added 8 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals in an efficient and dominant performance. Regular leading scorer Tres Tinkle finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals and center Kylor Kelley chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Despite a strong 83-point offensive display, that trio was the only three Beavers to reach double-figures in scoring. Guard Jarod Lucas did add 9 points off the bench, while the two other starters in Zach Reichle (6 points) and Alfred Hollins (0 points) were fairly insignificant overall.

For North Dakota, the Fighting Hawks were led by star guard Marlon Stewart (19 points, 6 assists), reserve forward Brady Danielson (18 points, 8 rebounds), freshman swingman De’Sean Allen-Eikens (15 points, 8 rebounds) and double-double machine Filip Rebraca (13 points, 10 rebounds).

Game Notes: With the victory, Oregon State is now 7-0 at Gill Coliseum this season...The Beavers were the stronger team in every statistical category in the game, except for three-pointers made, three-point shooting percentage and defensive rebounds (both teams finished with 26)...Oregon State had 12 steals compared to just 4 from North Dakota...The Beaver also blocked four times the amount of shots that the Fighting Hawks did.
