Shane Kady from Hawaii is an explosive defensive end/linebacker. He held offers from Arizona, BYU, Hawaii, Army, Utah State and others. He’s been verbally committed to Oregon State for six months and should fit into the Beavers defense as a pass-rusher who can also drop into coverage.
Many projected Kady as a defensive end, but he will play outside linebacker in Tim Tibesar’s 3-4 system. Oregon State made great strides this season on rushing opposing passers and racking up tackles for loss (thank you Hamilcar Rashed)! The Beavers hope that Kady as well as several other additions will continue that trend.
With Shane Kady’s signing official it looks like the Beavers signing day is wrapped up. They have a couple of scholarships available and will look for transfers or other high school recruits to sign in February.
Last but not least - Welcome Shane Kady to Oregon State! See you in January!!! pic.twitter.com/GXzGnRVvce
