The transfer portal continues to be a boon to Oregon State, as the Beavers have just gotten a commitment from former Auburn DE Charles Moore.
Moore was rated 4 stars by 247 sports, who tabbed him as the 6th best Defensive End and 69th best player in the country. He originally committed to Auburn in February. He chose the Tigers over Florida, LSU and Mississippi State. However, he also signed a letter of intent to Jones County Junior College in Ellsville, Mississippi. Speculation at the time was that Moore had a potential grades issue, and should it impact his ability to enroll at Auburn, Moore would have Jones County as a fall back.
Moore never appeared in any games at Auburn, and on September 17th the school announced that he had left the program. He’ll sit out this season, but will have four years of eligibility starting in 2020. To get some idea of what the Beavers D will be getting next season, check out these highlights.
With early signing day approaching, we’re going to start seeing a lot of recruiting news. Check back with Building the Dam regularly to stay updated.
