I’m feeling prettttyyyy good about college football picks so far with a 4-1 week in the rearview mirror. Setting up my overall record for the season to (30-18-2) overall record. The Beavers return to action after completing smoking Arizona (I did not see that coming). It’s starting to look like Oregon State is legitimately a middle-of-the-pack Pac-12 team, that’s HUGE progress. It’d be tough to find a Jonathan Smith detractor out there right now. Anyways onto the picks.

#1 - Oregon State (+10) vs. Washington
I was very tempted to pick Washington here, as I think they are a really talented team. (Stephen A. Smith voice) HOWEVER! Washington has been a huge disappointment while Oregon State is rolling. Jake Luton is a Washington-native and he is amped for this primetime game. I’m rolling with my Beavs, let’s goooooo!
#2 - Alabama (-6.5) vs. LSU
Tua Tagovailoa looks like he’s going to be good to play on Saturday. Alabama’s QB has been battling a high-ankle sprain and has sat out a couple weeks, but he’s looking better. LSU is a very good football team, but I think they are going to get crushed. Roll Tide!
#3 - BYU (-17) vs. Liberty
Liberty has been surprisingly competitive this season, but they are not great. BYU’s quarterback situation has been kind of up in the air but it looks like they have three competent quarterbacks that can move the football. I think BYU is going to blowout Liberty on Saturday.
#4 - Iowa State (+14.5) vs. Oklahoma
Iowa State is my big upset of the week. It might be wishful thinking that Iowa State can knockoff Oklahoma a week after they were stunned by Kansas State, but I think Oklahoma will not be motivated after the defeat. Go Cyclones!
#5 - Tennessee (+1) vs. Kentucky
I don’t have a lot of input on this game, but I like Tennessee here. Kentucky is coming off a big win over Missouri but Tennessee is playing pretty good of late. It’s in Lexington, but I’m taking the Vols here.
I checked these odds on FanDuel Sports Book Thursday evening. The Beavers play the next five weeks in a row. Arizona schools, Washington schools and at Oregon. The schedule isn’t forgiving but I do think the Beavs have another win in them (ASU is my guess). Go Beavs!
