Another 4-1 week is in the rear-view mirror. Setting up my overall record for the season to (40-23-2). The Beavers had bowl-eligibility in their grasp on Saturday night in Pullman and were tragically defeated in the final seconds. The bright-side? They once again covered the spread! Which I know isn’t much of a consolation prize but before I become enraged again, let’s get to the picks.

#1 - Oregon (-19.5) vs. Oregon State
The Beavers certainly aren’t going to roll over in this rivalry game. But seeing them surrender an 11-point lead in the final minutes of the Washington State game shook my confidence. The Beavers defense is a different beast when Hamilcar Rashed Jr is providing pressure on opposing quarterbacks. With his left hand in a cast and not being 100% it impacts the defense. I think Oregon State fights hard, but gets down big late in this game.
#2 - Utah (-28) vs. Colorado
Could Utah be caught looking ahead (much like how Oregon was caught looking ahead to the Beavers)? Jokes aside... I think Utah will be motivated to wipe the floor with Colorado in an attempt to jump up the College Football Playoff rankings.
#3 - Oklahoma State (+13) vs. Oklahoma
Oklahoma is getting a lot of respect here for a team that has had four consecutive one score games (Kansas State, Iowa State, Baylor & TCU). I think Oklahoma State keeps it close in this rivalry game. I also say it’s almost a guarantee that no team from the Big 12 makes the College Football Playoffs.
#4 - Auburn (+3) vs. Alabama
The most points Auburn has allowed this year is 24 against Florida. For reference, Oregon State has only held four opponents under 25 points in the last THREE SEASONS! Auburn’s defense is very very good. Alabama won’t have their starting quarterback and is clearly trying to earn favor with the CFP committee since they won’t be playing in the SEC championship game. Both teams are talented and I expect a very low-scoring game when they meet. I’m taking Auburn here though.
#5 - Ohio State (-9) vs. Michigan
Michigan salvaged their season after a rough start and many think this is the year Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines can defeat their bitter rivals. I’m not as optimistic... Chase Young is going to continue to be unblock-able. Justin Fields and company will put up points. The Buckeyes win by double-digits on Saturday.
I checked these odds on FanDuel Sports Book on Wednesday. I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving and watches plenty of football this Rivalry weekend. Go Beavs!
