Life was rough this past weekend going (2-3). Although it could have been much worse (the two wins were by a combined single-point). That drops my overall record for the season to a still good (24-14-2) overall record. I think I should actually keep betting against the Beavs, because they seem to thrive of the doubt. And they brought home another road victory this weekend in California. Anyways, onto this week’s picks.

#1 - Iowa (-10) vs. Northwestern
Northwestern and Rutgers are the only two Big Ten teams to have never had the lead in any Big Ten game this year. That is embarrassing. I think the Hawkeyes roll in this one.
#2 - Mississippi State (+10.5) vs. Texas A&M
Personally I think Texas A&M gets way too much respect. They are like the USC of the SEC. Mississippi State isn’t amazing, but I think they’ll keep this game close and wouldn’t be shocked if they pulled off the upset.
#3 - Oklahoma State (+10.5) vs. Iowa State
The Cowboys are in a bit of a funk lately with losses to Baylor and Texas Tech in consecutive weeks. Let’s hope they break out of it this week. Their schedule starts to soften over the next few weeks, but Iowa State is no pushover. I think the other OSU will keep this one close.
#4 - Wisconsin (+14) vs. Ohio State
Wisconsin is coming off a rough upset loss to Illinois, which is a bummer for this match-up that had college football playoff implications. Wisconsin is good though and will be the best team Ohio State has played all season. I think this game will be closer than the line indicates.
#5 - Arizona State (-3) vs. UCLA
This game is an interesting one. A Pac-12 game Saturday evening always has some unpredictability to them; but I really like the Sun Devils. They’re 5-2 on the season and while Utah held them to just three points this past weekend; UCLA will be much more willing to give up points. I think ASU wins this game in a landslide.
I checked these odds on FanDuel Sports Book Monday morning. The Beavers get a much needed break this week, but the Portland Trail Blazers season starts on Wednesday so that’s something to look forward to!
