Sunday Poll: How Many Games Will Oregon State Baseball Win In 2019?

The defending champions will have a tough task with a lot of talent to replace and an interim head coach.

NCAA Baseball: College World Series Championship-Arkansas vs Oregon State Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

The Oregon State Beavers enter the 2019 season looking to get back to the College World Series for a third consecutive season and maybe even win a second-straight NCAA title. That task is incredibly tall though. The Beavs lost Nick Madrigal, Cadyn Grenier, and several more to the MLB Draft a few months ago and three-time NCAA champion head coach Pat Casey retired leaving Pat Bailey in charge in the interim.

It’s certainly not all bad, however. OSU has possibly the best all-around player in college baseball in Adley Rutschman, a phenomenal sophomore pitcher in Kevin Abel (the rest of that pitching staff is strong as well), and Mike Parker still calls their games...so that’s pretty great.

The Pac-12 is always pretty tough and this year’s non-conference schedule has several notable challenges for the champs. Oregon State has won over 55 games in each of the last two games. As insanely impressive as that is...can it be done again? Or are the Beavers in store for a slight dip in their win total? You tell us.
