Life for the Oregon State baseball team has been pretty much one big victory tour since they locked up the program’s third national title back in June. For head coach Pat Casey, the latest stop came at Safeco Field where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the M’s taking on the Blue Jays on Saturday night.
Casey also had the chance to chat it up with former Beav and current Toronto pitcher Sam Gaviglio while he was there. Toronto ended up winning that game 5-1.

It should be no surprise given how many Beavs fans call the Seattle area home and the fan crossover between OSU and the Mariners, but there was plenty of orange in those stands to watch OSU’s skipper toss it over the plate.

This actually wasn’t the first time that Casey has thrown a first pitch at Safeco and it probably won’t be the last.
@CaseysCorner5 throwing first pitch out at Mariners game tonight, makes me think of what might have been if I ever got on Coleman Field

While we’re on the subject of the Mariners, if you’re a baseball fan (which if you frequent our site, you probably are) go pay our friends at LookoutLanding.com a visit sometime.
