Vegas Says Beavs Win 2.5 Games in 2018

That would be a 250% improvement from last year

UW v Oregon St X
Vegas sees a lot of this look in 2018

A couple days ago the sports book at the Southpoint Casino set the over/under for nearly every FBS team, and well, let’s just say they don’t think too fondly of our boys in orange and black. They see the first era of the Jonathan Smith era ending with 2.5 wins. While that is not a great total, it would be an outstanding 250% increase from last year, so not all is terrible. While obviously 2.5 wins is impossible it means they see the Beavs as a 2-3 win team in 2018. The beavers projected win total is the worst in the Pac-12 (Colorado is closest at 4), while non conference opponents Ohio State and Nevada are picked to win 10.5 and 6 respectively.

While I would take the over for the Beavs, I say 4 wins, it will likely be another trying season in Corvallis. The Beavs open on the road at Ohio State for a 9am kickoff, before returning home to face a strong FCS squad in Southern Utah, and a road trip the biggest little city in the world to take on the Wolfpack of Nevada. The Beavs will open conference play with a homes tilt vs Khalil Tate(7.5 wins) and some other dudes, followed by a trip to ASU(5), home games against Wazzu(6.5) and Cal(5.5), a trip to see our friends at Ralphie Report, a home game vs USC(8.5), roadies against Stanford(8) and UW(10.5) before finishing the season at home for the Civil War(8.5).

The group here at BTD was pretty split on whether to take the over or under for OSU, so good call Vegas, but what about you? How many wins do you see for the Beavs?
