  • Thursday was not a good day out on the recruiting front for the Oregon State basketball program, as 2018 target Madiaw Niang and 2019 target Jaime Jaquez Jr. both chose to further their basketball careers elsewhere. Niang, a late-blooming 6’ 9” prospect, decided to stay in the Sunshine State and play at Florida Atlantic, while 2019 four-star swingman Jaime Jaquez Jr. opted for the the equally sunny confines of UCLA. Niang’s announcement currently closes the book on open prospect offers for the Beavers’ 2018 class.
