In what may have been our closest edition of our “Sunday Poll” ever, Beaver Nation has set the expectations for the 2018-2019 season as a potential NIT year for Oregon State basketball.
What Are Realistic Expectations For Oregon State Basketball During The 2018-2019 Season?

Over .500 (Post-Season Invite)
Under .500 (No Post-Season)
The poll was originated not long after forward Drew Eubanks declared for the NBA Draft and hired an agent, effectively ending any change he has at returning to Oregon State. Beaver Nation will now await any potential draft decisions from fellow big man Tres Tinkle or guard Stephen Thompson Jr., who are both considered borderline NBA prospects as well.
To jump over the .500 mark next season and qualify for a post-season tournament, head coach Wayne Tinkle (who Beaver Nation also thinks is not on the hot seat) must take another step in the right direction, following this year’s 16-16 outing. The program will also need steady improvement out of rising sophomores Ethan Thompson and Alfred Hollins, in addition to a solid recruiting class, which we rated as the 9th best group in the Pac-12.
