As we talked about Friday, Oregon State started game two of this series with a 10-1 cushion in the second inning. The Beavs would generate no more runs but would hold on for a 10-2 lead. OSU outhit Missouri State 10-8 in this one and each team committed one error.

The only run of Saturday’s action would come from a Jeremy Eierman RBI in the fifth. Grant Gambrell was the starting pitcher for Oregon State today (after Fehmel got it started yesterday), going 5.5 innings with three hits, a run, and eight strikeouts. The win moves him to 4-1 on the year. Dylan Pearce pitched the final two innings giving up two hits, a walk, and three strikeouts.
Like we mentioned, game three of this series, originally scheduled for tonight was canceled due to impending weather in the area.
Oregon State next hosts Oregon in a three-game series in Corvallis on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Come on back later this week for a deeper dive into that series. Go Beavs.
