The beginning of the game was very quiet from an offensive perspective, all the way up until Adley Rutschman stole home on a passed ball in the bottom of the fourth. Then in the bottom of the sixth, the Beavs loaded the bases up for Trevor Larnach, who blasted one over the left field wall for a grand slam.

That would be it for the offense but the Beaver defense in this game was stellar as well. The best example was this play throw from Larnach to Rustchman to prevent a run at home.
You shall not score!

Trevor Larnach does it with his arm, in addition to his bat, by throwing out a runner attempting to score from 2nd to end T7.

OSU doesn’t have too much time to celebrate the series victory as they welcome the Portland Pilots to Goss on Tuesday at 5 PM. We’ll have a quick preview for you here as well as a gamethread and a recap.
