Nick Madrigal suffered an injury to his left hand/wrist while helping the team come back to defeat Ohio State in today’s game. Madrigal sustained the injury while sliding into home plate during the eighth inning, the inning when the Beavers scored six runs to take the lead over the Buckeyes.
Madrigal was given an X-ray after the game, and will be further evaluated by the team’s doctors once he returns to Corvallis. He will not play for the remainder of the PAC-12 Big-10 College Baseball Challenge.
Casey said Madrigal had an X-ray and the extent of the injury isn't fully known yet. Madrigal is heading back to Corvallis to be evaluated by OSU's team doctor. #GoBeavs

Madrigal had 2 hits and a run during today’s game, and for the season has 14 hits and 2 home runs. He was expected to be a huge part of Oregon State’s offense in their quest to get back to Omaha, but we will have to see how much he’ll be able to contribute going forward.
Building the Dam will keep you updated as to how this situation develops.
