BTD Fantasy Football: Waiver-Wire Pickups & More

Time for that playoff pushhh!

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Amari Cooper looked like the undisputed number one receiver for the Dallas Cowboys last night. The Cowboys looked terrible on offense though. The Saints toppled the undefeated Rams and no there are no more undefeated teams in the NFL. Thankfully in the BTD fantasy football league I remain undefeated!

TOP WAIVER-WIRE PICKUPS (Nov. 6th)

Running Backs
  1. Duke Johnson Jr. - Cleveland Browns
  2. Chris Thompson - Washington Redskins
  3. Frank Gore - Miami Dolphins

The Cleveland Browns getting a new offensive coordinator is gold for Duke Johnson. People forget he was a top-10 running back in PPR leagues last season and it look like he’ll continue to catch passes under the new offensive coordinator. Frank Gore got 20 carries last week, he wasn’t particularly effective, but that is a healthy workload.

Wide Receivers
  1. Courtland Sutton - Denver Broncos
  2. Tre’Quan Smith - New Orleans Saints
  3. Cordarrelle Patterson - New England Patriots
  4. Dez Bryant - Free Agent?

I still think Sutton will be a stud down the stretch of the season. Also, the Saints are hurting for healthy wide receivers, so give Tre’Quan Smith a look and Dez Bryant is even working out with the team. I’ll never trust Dez Bryant, but pairing him with Drew Brees could be a dynamite combination. Also, Patterson turned into the Patriots defacto running back with Sony Michel out. If he remains out that could be good news for Patterson.

Tight Ends
  1. Jack Doyle - Indianapolis Colts
  2. Evan Engram - New York Giants
  3. C.J. Uzomah - Cincinnati Bengals

I was ready to give up on C.J. Uzomah, but with the news that A.J. Green will miss time with a toe injury Uzomah could be a big benefactor. Look for him to receive a useful amount of targets for a fantasy tight end in week 10 and moving forward,

TOP DEFENSES TO STREAM

  1. NY Jets vs. Buffalo Bills
  2. KC Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals
  3. LA Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders

Some solid defensive streaming options this week for fantasy football.

DUMP EM’

  1. Geronimo Allison - WR
  2. Nelson Agholor - WR
  3. Chris Hogan - WR
  4. Javorius Allen - RB

Time to cut bait on under performing or injured players. Too little time left in the fantasy football season.
