The fifth week of the NFL season is in the books. The fantasy football season is flying by and now is the time to start pushing for the playoffs. As we head into the sixth week of the season more and more bye weeks will start popping up (weeks 7-11 have the most teams with the week off). Be active on the waive-wire if you want to suceed.
TOP WAIVER-WIRE PICKUPS (Oct. 9th)
Running Backs
- T.J. Yeldon - Jacksonville Jaguars
- Tarik Cohen - Chicago Bears
- Nyheim Hines - Indianapolis Colts
- Mike Davis - Seattle Seahawks
The Jags are dealing with serious injury problems at the running back position. In fact, they just signed Jamaal Charles to help shore up the position. T.J. Yeldon despite dealing with a nagging ankle injury is the running back you want to own for the next few weeks though. If you wanted to pick-up Charles and see what happens I don’t blame you.
Wide Receivers
- Keke Coutee - Houston Texans
- Geronimo Allison - Green Bay Packers
- Christian Kirk - Arizona Cardinals
Keke has probably the coolest name of all time and he looked very good on Sunday night. Even with DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller both in the lineup, Keke found himself open and on the receiving end of a lot of Deshaun Watson passes. Grab Keke while you still can!
Tight Ends
- Greg Olsen - Carolina Panthers
- Cameron Brate - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- C.J. Uzomah - Cincinnatti Bengals
- Austin Hooper - Atlanta Falcons
There is surprisingly a deep field for tight end additions this week. Greg Olsen might play in week 6 and should be grabbed from the waiver-wire if he is still available. Cameron Brate is a must-start as Winston returns to the lineup and with OJ Howard is still out.
TOP DEFENSES TO STREAM
- Green Bay Packers vs. SF 49ers
- MIN Vikings vs. Arizona Cardinals
- LA Chargers vs. Cleveland Browns
If you’re looking for a defense to grab from the waiver wire to plug in your lineup look no further! The 49ers could be in trouble with all the injuries they are suffering.
DUMP EM’
- Latavius Murray - RB
- Theo Riddick - RB
- Peyton Barber - RB
- Marquise Goodwin - WR
- Kelvin Benjamin - WR
Last week I told you to dump Isaiah Crowell (I did it myself) and he went out and had the game of his life! Drop with caution and be very wary of trying to start Crowell. He can’t be trusted.
