What an exciting week of fantasy football. We’ve got the trade deadline with tons of trades that could effect your fantasy team. We’ve got the bye week apocalypse, with SIX NFL teams on bye. Rookie WRs are starting to find their footing. And last but not least Fitzmagic is back! Ryan Fitzpatrick is back in the starting lineup for the Buccaneers, as Jameis Winston enjoys throwing a bunch of interceptions when he plays.
TOP WAIVER-WIRE PICKUPS (Oct. 30th)
Running Backs
- Aaron Jones - Green Bay Packers
- Jalen Richard/Doug Martin - Oakland Raiders
- Duke Johnson Jr. - Cleveland Browns
Not a real glamorous week for waiver-wire pickups at the running back position. There is still some value to be found though. Both of the Raiders RBs look relevant for fantasy football purposes with Marshawn Lynch out and Aaron Jones may have finally had his breakout game. Ty Montgomery could be interesting with the trade to the Ravens, but I’m taking a wait and see approach with him.
Wide Receivers
- Courtland Sutton - Denver Broncos
- Keke Coutee - Houston Texans
- DJ Moore - Carolina Panthers
The rumors were true! The Broncos traded Demaryius Thomas to the Texans and Courtland Sutton should be very valuable moving forward. Also, even with Thomas being traded to the Texans, I trust Deshaun Watson to find Coutee in the slot often when he is back from injury.
Tight Ends
- Jack Doyle - Indianapolis Colts
- Dallas Goedert - Philadelphia Eagles
- Ed Dickson - Seattle Seahawks
Jack Doyle gets a majority of the snaps in the Colts offense. He is more valuable than Eric Ebron right now for fantasy football in my opinion. Dallas Goedert loses some value with Golden Tate in Philly, but the tight end landscape is not good right now.
TOP DEFENSES TO STREAM
- DAL Cowboys vs. Tennessee Titans
- KC Chiefs vs. Cleveland Browns
- Miami Dolphins vs. NY Jets
Some solid streaming options this week for fantasy football.
DUMP EM’
- Will Fuller - WR
- CJ Uzomah - TE
- Marshawn Lynch - RB
- Kelvin Benjamin - WR
Injuries suck and I am very sad for Will Fuller, but it’s time to get them off your bench and make room for someone new. Especially in a bye heavy week.

- Marcus Russell (8-0)
- Joe Londergan (6-2)
- Justin Sattelmaier (5-3)

Todd Gurley did the right thing for his team by not scoring that final touchdown and instead running out the rest of the clock. He also did the right thing for my fantasy team, because I would have lost if he had scored that final touchdown. Thank you Todd Gurley!
