- Oregon State running back Ryan Nall has solidified his place as one of the best running backs in the Pac-12, and now his talents are garnering national recognition as he’s been named to the Doak Walker Award Watch-List for the 2017 season. The award, which is given annually the country’s top running back, features a stunning list of past recipients, including Eddie George (Ohio State - 1995), Ricky Williams (Texas - 1997/1998), LaDainian Tomlinson (TCU - 2000) and Reggie Bush (USC - 2005).
- Speaking to Beavers alum Lamar Hurd, Oregon State head basketball coach Wayne Tinkle did his best to preview the growth and development of his team over the past few months and to look forward to what the 2017-2018 season may hold in store.

- Head coach Gary Andersen may return 15 starters to the mix this season but according to a piece from the Oregonian, Andersen is expecting to use the team’s trip to Bend, Oregon to figure out which freshman stand-outs will have be able to step in and help the team from day one. There a list of potential suitors for breakout rookie seasons across the board, signaling an increase in the program’s overall recruiting emphasis on more refined and college-ready prospects.
- Tampa Bay Bucaneers running back Jacquizz Rodgers may technically play second fiddle to Doug Martin on the depth chart, but with Martin serving a four-game suspension to start the season, it’ll be Rodgers who will need to help carry the Bucs through the opening stretches once again. Last season, Rodgers carried the ball 126 times for 560 rushing yards (4.4 YPC) in 10 games of action, as one of the few regularly healthy options in the backfield.
- The Los Angeles Rams signed veteran quarterback Dan Orlovsky on Thursday, adding a third gunslinger to the mix behind projected started Jared Goff and Oregon State alum, Sean Mannion. Despite Goff’s high-profile expectations, new Rams head coach Sean McVay publicly stated earlier this summer that he wouldn’t be afraid to turn to Mannion, if Goff began to struggle.
