- There were a handful of signature moments during yesterday’s game and sometimes, capturing them on film is one of the best ways to truly relive the glorious spectacle of the first game of the 2017 College World Series. So it’s only fitting that the Omaha World-Herald put their staff of photographers on the scene, to produce this gallery full of incredible shots from yesterday’s meeting between the Beavers and the Titans.
- It was a nail-biting thriller in their Omaha debut for the 2017 Oregon State baseball team and as usual, the fantastic athletic department from the school was there to piece together a celebratory strand of highlights from the game. - For some gridiron news during a busy weekend in baseball world, the Oregonian has reported that Oregon State has made the final top five schools for four-star California prospect Reggie Hughes, along with the likes of Arizona State, Michigan State, UCLA and Washington State. The 6’ 2”, 215 pound linebacker is expected to visit Corvallis this fall and is another strong target for the Beavers’ 2018 recruiting class.
- For those who haven’t yet heard, the next step in Oregon State’s quest for a College World Series will go through a super-tough LSU squad on Monday afternoon at 4 PM PT. The Tigers defeated Florida State, 5-4, in their debut contest in Omaha on Saturday.
