Former Beaver, Sydney Wiese, made her pro debut last week for the Los Angeles Sparks in their 78-68 win against the Seattle Storm. She scored 6 points on shooting 2 of 3 from behind the arc while also recording a steal and an assist.

In just her second game, against the Washington Mystics, Wiese made a huge impact in scoring 22 points off the bench. She played 27 minutes, but the first nine is where she did most of her damage when she made FIVE three pointers and started 7 of 7. Wiese finished with 8 of 13 field goals (6 of 10 from three-land), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 turnover. The Sparks went on to beat the Mystics 99-89 to start the season 2-0.
