Oregon State
Oregon State took two of three from the USC Trojans last weekend in front of a record Goss crowd. The Beavs were named the consensus #1 team in the nation for the 6th straight week yesterday, and currently hold a 5.5 game lead in the Pac-12 race over Stanford. The weekend marked the return of Drew Rasmussen, who pitched 2⁄3 of an inning on Friday to claim his first career save. There is a decent chance Rasmussen sees some work today, as Pat Casey plans to use several pitchers against Oregon.
Oregon
Oregon comes into today sitting in 6th place in the Pac-12 with a record of 8-10 in league play (25-14 Overall). The Ducks took two of three from Arizona State this past weekend, including a dominant performance from Friday starter David Peterson, who garnered national pitcher of the week honors after striking out 20 Sun Devils.
