In their first game of the 2017 Pac-12 tournament, OSU took down Cal 65-49. Sydney Wiese (yet again) led the way with a 26 point, six rebound, six assist performance against the Golden Bears. The Beavers led the entire game.
While Cal’s Kristine Anigwe led a solid push in the fourth quarter that included a 12-0 scoring run from the Bears, OSU never really lost control.
According to OregonLive, Scott Rueck attributed the Beavers’ composure to the leadership of the seniors.

Also notable in today’s game was the performance of OSU freshman and Seattle native Mikayla Pivec who ended the day with 17 points and eight rebounds. She also went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
The Beavs move on to face UCLA in the semifinals on Saturday at 6 PM PT. Those two squads haven’t faced each other since the final of last year’s conference tournament, where OSU emerged victorious.
