2017 NCAA Tournament “Round of 32” - Day 1: Schedule, TV Listings & Open Thread

Can #12 Middle Tennessee State become this year’s “Cinderella” team?

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Minnesota vs Middle Tennessee State Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Well, all of a sudden, now it gets real.

After most teams coasted through their “First Round” match-ups, the “Round of 32” will test the true meddle of these remaining groups, with some of these higher seeds expected to struggle against such a balanced field. #12 Middle Tennessee State is hoping to be one of those squads who finds their way into the Sweet Sixteen, if they can knock-off the ever-consistent #4 Butler program, who has been a trendy pick among basketball experts. With two #1 seeds and three “#4 v. #5” match-ups on the slate, the only thing likely to expect on Saturday is probably the unexpected. It should be another great day of basketball action in the NCAA Tournament.

To take a quick second just to recap BTD’s Yahoo! Tournament Pick ‘Em Bracket Pool, heading into the “Round of 32”, it’s Randy Duncan still holding onto the slim one-point lead over Manchu8688, with a five-way tie for third place right behind them. But remember people, there’s still a long-way to go in determining who is the ultimate “bracket-filler-outer” in all of BTD nation.

Let the madness continue!
