Arex Flemings signs with Oregon State

The 5’7 speedster from Los Angeles signs with the Beavers

Oregonlive

Three-Star Wide Receiver Arex Flemings is officially a Beaver. The speedy, 5-7 Wide Receiver from Cathedral High School in Los Angeles made his commitment to the Beavers back in June of 2016. During his Senior season, Flemings had 94 receptions for 973 yards and 11 touchdown receptions. Flemings was a First Team All-Angelus League selection.

The Beavers got a true diamond in the rough with Arex Flemings. Flemmings is a dynamic playmaker. He has explosive speed and strong ablility to seperate himself from defenders. 247 sportswriter Steve Wiltfong is very excited for the potential of Arex Flemmings. Flemmings attended the Pylon 7-on-7 national tournament in Las Vegas last spring. The tournament featured many of the top players in the nation.

According to Wiltfong, “"Pound for pound, the best player on the field may have been Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral's Arex Flemmings. The 5-foot-7 (several sites listed him as 5’5), 155-pound Flemings was very explosive allowing him to separate on every play. He's a big play waiting to happen in space. We're not expecting a lot of Division-I offers for Flemings but a school that takes a chance will get a productive player within their offense."

The hope is that Flemings is a dynamic playmaker for the Beaver Offense, which has had a history of dynamic undersized receivers such as James Rodgers, Brandon Cooks, Mike Hass, and Victor Bolden. Arex’s speed and athleticism will be a huge addition to the Beaver Offense. Could Arex see time on the field next fall, rather than redshirt?

Here are Arex’s Highlights. Notice his speed and playmaking ability.
