Kaleb Hayes is officially a Beaver. The 6’0 160 pound athlete held offers from BYU, Cal Poly, and Fresno State. He committed to Oregon State in June of 2016.
Hayes was a Quarterback and Defensive Back at San Gorgonio High School. He passed for 2097 yards and 17 touchdowns. Additionally, Hayes added 1430 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. Kaleb was named the Offensive MVP of the San Andreas League. Hayes has tremendous speed and is a smart player.
Kaleb Hayes is also a tremendous track athlete. He clocked in at 10.5 in the 100 yard dash. In addition, Hayes ran 21.5 in the 200, and 48 flat in the 400. He also excels off the field as a 3.4 student.
Hayes is a potential impact player for the Beavers. He has great knowledge of the game, which will help him adjust to the college level. Hayes is likely to redshirt his first year in Corvallis to build strength and develop, but don’t be surprised if this athlete finds his way on the field in 2017.
