On Sunday evening, John Canzano of The Oregonian tweeted that Dan Van De Riot would replace Zach Nyborg as the director of football operations at Oregon State.

“DVD”, as Van De Riet is known, first came to Oregon State in 2001 as the assistant director of football operations. He was promoted to director of football operations in 2008. Then in 2014, DVD was promoted again to an associate athletic director position at OSU.

That same year, he followed Mike Riley to Nebraska where he has been the Husker's Associate Athletic Director for Football Administration ever since. Now with Riley fired from his head coaching role at Nebraska, and reportedly moving back to Corvallis, it seems Van De Riet is headed this way as well.

While with the Huskers, Van De Riet oversaw budget planning, staffing, and recruiting efforts for the football program.

We’ll have more once this becomes official.
