Expect another blowout

Oregon State Women’s Basketball heads up I-5 to the Rose Garden to kick off a double-header in the Dam City Classic. They will face off against UC Santa Barbara at 5 PM PST on Saturday. You can watch the game on the Pac-12 Networks. Let’s take a closer look at the Gauchos.

UC Santa Barbara (1-7)

The Gauchos come to Portland with a seven game losing streak, including a couple of 30 point losses to Saint Mary’s and UCLA. They average just 63 points per game while giving up 75.

Santa Barbara’s leading scorer is a former USC transfer, forward Drew Edelman, who averages 14.4. She is also the Guachos’ leading rebounder at 8.3. Guard Sarah Porter is the only other player who is averaging double digits in scoring at 10 per contest.

Prediction

This team has the fewest wins of all the Beavers’ opponents thus far, and Oregon State has played against some teams that have just two wins. Expect another blowout before the opposition gets a little tougher.
