Oregon State, now ranked number 17 in the nation, hosts Savannah State on Wednesday, December 13th, at 11 AM. This will be Oregon State’s annual Beavers Beyond the Classroom game where they host young students from across the state (so grab your earplugs). You can watch the game on the Oregon State Live Stream or listen to the game on the Oregon State Beaver Sports Network. Let’s take a closer look at the Tigers.

Savannah State (2-5)

Savannah State, like San Jose State, comes into Gill Coliseum having lost five of their last six games. Most recently they were trounced at Wisconsin 82-24 while only shooting for 12.3%. This does not bode well for the Spartans as the Beavers rank number five in the nation for field goal defense.

The Tigers are leg by guard Kaylee Allen, who averages 13.3 points per game, and guard Donasja Scott, who scores 12.1 points per game along with 7.6 rebounds. Nobody averages more than two assists per game as the Tigers only total just over seven per game; that’s nearly a quarter of what the Beavers average.

Just like the last game, everyone should score for the Beavers. Look for Oregon State to suffocate the Savannah State offense into poor shots and turnovers all game to build a lead early. This will leave the young ones in the stands satisfied with their field trip.
