Pac-12 Football Picks: Week Seven

Who are the “experts” taking?

NCAA Football: Stanford at Utah Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The seventh week of college football is here and it features six new Pac-12 football match-ups. Building the Dam is once again pretty unified this week (except for the Arizona/UCLA game). Take a look at the updated scoreboard and the picks for the week.

SCOREBOARD

  • Robert Ingle: 41-10 (last week = 4-1)
  • Brian Moore: 40-11 (Last week = 3-2)
  • Marcus Russell: 39-12 (Last week = 4-1)
  • Joe Londergan: 38-13 (Last week = 3-2)
  • Travis Johannes: 37-14 (Last week = 3-2)
  • Leo Castaneda: 35-16 (Last week = 4-1)

CAL [3-3] v. WASHINGTON STATE [6-0]

Washington State has been on a roll as of late and Cal has crashed back to earth after their hot start. This should be an easy Cougar victory, but something tells me a Friday night game on ESPN is just the kind of recipe for a Pac-12 after dark type upset. Stay tuned...

Brian J. Moore: Washington State

Joe Londergan: Washington State

Leo Castaneda: Washington State

Marcus Russell: Washington State

Robert Ingle: Washington State

Travis Johannes: Washington State

Saturday, October 14th (1:00 PM PT, Pac-12 Network)

OREGON STATE [1-5] v. COLORADO [3-3]

The Beavers are moving on from the Gary Andersen era starting this weekend. The players will probably be extra motivated and Colorado hasn’t looked stellar in Pac-12 play. Could the Beavs pull off the upset? BTD doesn’t think so...

Brian J. Moore: Colorado

Joe Londergan: Colorado

Leo Castaneda: Colorado

Marcus Russell: Colorado

Robert Ingle: Colorado

Travis Johannes: Colorado

Saturday, October 14th (5:00 PM PT, ABC)

USC [5-1] v. UTAH [4-1]

USC and Utah face-off on Saturday. Utah’s been solid on defense, but their quarterback position is in limbo due to an injury (Tyler Huntley) and poor play from their senior captain (Troy Williams). There’s been rumors that Cooper Bateman (Alabama transfer) could see sometime behind center this weekend.

Leo Castaneda: USC

Marcus Russell: USC

Robert Ingle: USC

Travis Johannes: Utah

Saturday, October 14th (6:00 PM PT, Pac-12 Network)

ARIZONA [3-2] v. UCLA [3-2]

The toughest game of the week to predict is the game going on in Tucson Arizona. Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate just broke every single game rushing record known to man in their upset win against Colorado last weekend. It’ll be interesting to see how UCLA’s defense fairs after a week of watching that game tape.

Brian J. Moore: Arizona

Joe Londergan: Arizona

Leo Castaneda: Arizona

Marcus Russell: UCLA

Robert Ingle: UCLA

Travis Johannes: UCLA

Saturday, October 14th (7:45 PM PT, ESPN)

ARIZONA STATE [2-3] v. WASHINGTON [6-0]

Washington offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith has been linked to the Oregon State head coaching vacancy, but claims he is focused on coaching up the Huskies offense. The Sun Devils shouldn’t pose to much of a challenge for Jake Browning, Dante Pettis and Myles Gaskin and the rest of Washington’s offense though...

Brian J. Moore: Washington

Joe Londergan: Washington

Leo Castaneda: Washington

Marcus Russell: Washington

Robert Ingle: Washington

Travis Johannes: Washington

Saturday, October 14th (8:00 PM PT)

STANFORD [4-2] v. OREGON [4-2]

Finally the late game on Saturday falls to Stanford and Oregon. The Ducks are still scrambling to stabilize the quarterback position after Justin Herbert’s injury; while Stanford is content to hand it off to Bryce Love as often as possible. Despite Stanford not being in the National Championship discussion Bryce Love absolutely deserves to be a Heisman frontrunner.

Joe Londergan: Stanford

Leo Castaneda: Stanford

Marcus Russell: Stanford

Robert Ingle: Stanford

Travis Johannes: Stanford
