Keondre Dew no longer enrolled at Oregon State

The highly-touted junior college transfer is no longer with the program

Highly touted junior college recruit, Keondre Dew, is no longer enrolled at Oregon State University. Dew who loved the family atmosphere at Oregon State and committed after his visit, back in October of 2015, has struggled to stay on the court for the Beavers. He transferred from the junior college ranks after attending City College of San Francisco.

Dew has had a tumultuous college career. He originally began his career at Tulsa but was forced to leave the program and he admitted to making mistakes. Wayne Tinkle and his staff felt confident that he had turned a new page, but it has not appeared to workout for Keondre Dew in Corvallis.

Keondre Dew played six games for the Beavers, averaging 2.0 points and 3.2 rebounds, shooting 26.3 percent from the floor in 11.7 minutes per game.

According to Danny Moran of the Oregonian, he is not enrolled in classes this Winter term and struggled to stay eligible during the fall term. Head Coach Wayne Tinkle has given him multiple opportunities to remain with the team, but it appears that window has closed.

Oregon State (4-16, 0-7 P12) continues conference play at Colorado (10-10, 0-7 P12) this Thursday. Both teams are looking for their first Pac-12 win.
