Jaxson Kirkland is a 6-foot-7, 300-pound behemoth offensive tackle who plays for Jesuit High School in Portland. He is one of the top talents in the state for the 2017 class and will provide a huge boost to UCLA’a offensive line in the coming years.
Last month Kirkland decided to narrow his potential list of schools down to four: Oregon State, Washington State, Cal and UCLA.

There weren’t a ton of early indications about where he might play. Though some correctly thought he would choose UCLA because they have been most successful in recent years and provided an opportunity to win now.
Oregon State has put a renewed focus on recruiting in-state talent and they have already picked up commitments from David Morris, Travis Mackay, and Josh Bowcut. But, unfortunately were not able to pick up a commitment from Jaxson Kirkland.
With Kirkland’s tall and athletic frame he is projected to continue to play tackle at the next level. He has the talent and work-ethic to fight for time immediately as a true freshman. But, for now he will focus on his senior year of high school and focus on winning another state championship.
