Sean Mannion Orchestrates Comeback Win for The Rams

NFL: Preseason-Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

Ex-Oregon State quarterback, Sean Mannion, was in his Senior form last night. He threw three touchdowns to three different receivers and went 18-of-25, for 147 yards. Mannion’s night was highlighted by a 74 yard, 11 play drive, with most of those passes going to former Pac-12er, Nelson Spruce of Colorado which helped finalize the comeback.

Sean Mannion’s three touchdown passes went to:

  • Running Back Chase Reynolds 14 yard TD
  • Wide Receiver Nelson Spruce 7 yards
  • Running Back Aaron Green 9 yards ( To win the game, with 1:54 left ).

Don’t miss Sean Mannion in action next Saturday as the LA Rams host the Kansas City Chiefs. This should be another true test for Mannion and his offense against the formidable defense of the Chiefs.

Sean Mannion is currently entrenched as the third string quarterback for the Rams, behind Case Keenum and recent No. 1 overall pick, Jared Goff. But, Mannion does not appear to be content as the third stringer. His performance prompted NFL analyst Charles Woodson to say “"This is an audition for 31 other teams...He is making a statement, 'I want to play football.'"

It remains to be seen if Sean Mannion’s recent performance will peak another teams interest, but he is planning to make the most of his opportunity with the Rams.
