With only 23 days left until Oregon State starts fall camp, we are counting down by previewing the 25 most valuable football players that will help lead the Beavers to a successful 2016 season. We'll countdown by highlighting a new player each day until fall camp starts. Today's spot goes to Manase Hungalu who will line up in the middle of Oregon State's defense.

#23: Manase Hungalu - Linebacker

Manase Hungalu is listed as the starting inside line backer, according to Oregon State's most recent depth chart, which was released this week. The 6-foot-1 230-pound junior linebacker was a three-star recruit from Hawaii back in 2013.

Last year, Manase Hungalu saw considerable playing time as a sophomore and recorded 51 tackles and an interception. Hungalu is a big physical linebacker who excels at stopping the run and clogging up running lanes. Hungalu has great mobility for his size and loves being involved in the play.

He was quoted by The Oregonian last fall saying "I just love being sideline to sideline. Just being around the ball every time or having an opportunity to make a tackle."

The Beavers will be breaking in many newcomers and first-time starters on defense, especially on the defensive-line. And they will look to Hungalu and his experience early in the season. If Hungalu can build off his sophomore season and help organize a young defensive unit, Oregon State might just surprise some people this year.

Our "Fall Camp Countdown" continues tomorrow with the #22 Most Valuable Player for the Beavers in 2016.

The List So Far:

#23: Manase Hungalu - (LB)

#24: Elu Aydon - (DT)
