Oregon State's Logan Ice Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

Logan Ice had a huge weekend in San Diego.

Oregon State's Logan Ice is this week's Pac-12 Player of the Week, after a monster weekend in Oregon State's 3 wins in San Diego.

The junior catcher got on base in 10 of 12 trips to the plate, going 6 of 8, with 3 walks and a hit by pitch. Those 4 at bats are notable as opposing pitchers were being very careful because of what happened on those 6 hits.

Ice went 3 for 4 against William & Mary in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, including homering twice, with a 3 run shot in the third, and also a 2 RBI tripled to power the Beavers in their 12-3 win over William & Mary.

Ice is the first Pac-12 player with multiple home runs in the same game so far this year, and his 11 total bases in that game was the most productive game by any conference player so far.

Oregon State stayed at #4 in this week's d1baseball.com rankings, which saw no shakeup, and only 2 losses, anywhere in the top 12.

The Beavers will play their first home series this weekend, hosting San Francisco Friday night and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Unfortunately, there's a lot of rain and cold in the forecast.
